U2 have officially joined TikTok. The band launched their own official TikTok account @U2.
The channel is now live at @U2, with their first video in celebration of new track “Your Song Saved My Life” featuring artwork by Bono, and will feature exclusive content from the band to inspire and engage fans.
TikTok creators will now be able to use the band’s iconic tracks in their video creations. This includes new song “Your Song Saved My Life,” from the SING 2 Original Motion Picture Soundtrack.
U2 singer Bono will make his animated screen debut as reclusive rockstar lion Clay Calloway in the highly anticipated sequel to the smash hit movie.
Other sounds now available in the TikTok library include “Beautiful Day,” “With Or Without You,” “Vertigo,” “Sweetest Thing,” “One,” and “Where The Streets Have No Name.”
U2 has already seen huge success and demand on TikTok, with the #U2 hashtag and related content receiving over 249 million video views.
This November also marks the 30th anniversary of U2’s acclaimed seminal album Achtung Baby. TikTok says its users can expect unearthed archival footage from the band’s performances and tours over the decades.
The U2 catalogue can be checked out on the TikTok Sounds Page. Fans can also access a selection of U2’s newly-arrived tracks in the “Greatest Hits” Guest Playlist.
U2 is the latest band to join the video-sharing social networking platform following The Beatles and Led Zeppelin.
