Ted Nugent says he has never been more scared in his life than when he was battling COVID-19.
Nugent, who previously made controversial statements about COVID-19, including saying that it was “not a real pandemic,” revealed last week that he tested positive for the coronavirus.
“Five [or] six days ago, it was really scary. I didn’t think I was gonna make it. I literally couldn’t function for about 20 hours, and then they came and they rescued me. I’ve never been so scared in all my life,” he said in a new edition of his “Ted Nugent’s Spirit Campfire” podcast.
Nugent said he had the flu three or four times in his life, but a “six-foot-two, 225-pound headache” this time was “like nothing I have ever experienced.” “From the tip of my toes to the top of my hair I literally was dizzy and weak and struggled to get up to go to the bathroom,” he added.
The 72 year-old right-wing singer said he is feeling much better now, noting, “It’s like I’m the fastest hot rod at the drag strip, where all my horsepower and all my torque and my oxygen levels and all my vital signs, that I monitor throughout the day, are all perfecto.”
