Ronnie Wood has announced a new live album with the Ronnie Wood Band as a tribute to blues legend Jimmy Reed.
Mr. Luck – A Tribute to Jimmy Reed: Live at the Royal Albert Hall will drop on September 3.
“Jimmy Reed was one of the premier influences on the Rolling Stones and all the bands that love American blues from that era until the present day,” Wood said in a statement. “It is my honor to have the opportunity to celebrate his life and legacy with this tribute.”
The 18-track album features The Ronnie Wood Band including Mick Taylor along with special guests Bobby Womack, Mick Hucknall and Paul Weller.
The album was recorded live at the Royal Albert Hall on November 1, 2013, and features tracks like “Good Lover” and “Ghost of A Man.”
This is the second installment from Wood’s planned live tribute trilogy; the first was Mad Lad: A Live Tribute to Chuck Berry, which dropped in 2019.
