Ahead of the release of Paul McCartney‘s new book “The Lyrics,” a teaser trailer shows him recalling the story behind The Beatles “Rocky Raccoon” during a conversation with podcast presenter Bob Mortimer.
In the conversation that took place at the British Library, the pop legend recalls getting injured in an accident while he was riding on a little moped to see his cousin Betty.
“The Lyrics,” publishing on November 2, will tell the story of McCartney’s life and art through the prism of 154 songs from all stages of his career.
To accompany the new book, the British Library has announced it will host a free display entitled “Paul McCartney: The Lyrics (5 November 2021 – 13 March 2022),” which will celebrate the songwriter and performer and feature previously unseen lyrics from his personal archive.
175 Special Limited Edition copies of “The Lyrics,” signed by McCartney, will be made available at select bookshops in the U.S. and U.K.
