Mick Jagger Calls Process Of Writing Unfinished Memoir ‘Dull And Upsetting’

Mick Jagger has cast doubt on whether he will ever finish writing his memoir, because he doesn’t enjoy the process.

The rock music icon talked about his unfinished memoir while promoting his surprise new single, “Easy Sleazy,” on BBC 6 Music News.

“When I started, it was in the 80’s,” Jagger told host Matt Everitt about the memoir that he started writing years ago.

“I was offered a lot of money and the money was the seductive part . And when I started to actually get into it, I really didn’t enjoy it. And what I didn’t enjoy was reliving my life — the detriment of living in the now,” he added.

The process of going down memory lane is “dull and upsetting,” according to the Rolling Stones frontman.

Jagger said writing an autobiography is not a process that can be done in a week.

“It takes a lot out of you. It takes reliving emotions, reliving friendships, reliving ups and downs…and I must say that it wasn’t the most enjoyable experience. And there wasn’t that many highs out of it,” he added.
