Meat Loaf‘s Bat Out of Hell has re-entered Billboard‘s all-genre 200 chart at new high, just days after the American singer and actor’s death.

Bat Out of Hell‘s climbed to a new peak of No. 13 on Billboard 200 chart dated February 5, surpassing its original No. 14 peak in 1978. According to MRC Data, the album earned 28,000 equivalent units in the U.S., up 3,677%.

Meat Loaf, whose official name is Michael Lee Aday, also re-entered at No. 3 on the Billboard Artist 100 chart, which ranks the most popular artists of the week in the U.S.

Meat Loaf died in Nashville, Tennessee, on the evening of January 20 at the age of 74. He was reportedly ill with COVID-19 and died from COVID-19 complications.

The album also debuted on Top Rock Albums at No. 10, Top Hard Rock Albums at No. 2 and Catalog Albums at No. 27. The record also re-entered the Top Album Sales chart at No. 22 with 4,000 albums sold, up 7,746%.
