Madonna’s ‘Madame X’ Documentary To Debut On Paramount+

Madonna‘s Madame X, a concert documentary filmed last year during the Queen of Pop’s European tour, will debut on Paramount+.

Directed by Ricardo Gomes and SKNX, Madame X will exclusively stream on Paramount+ beginning Friday, October 8, in North America, Latin America, Australia, and the Nordics. Others from outside those territories can catch it on MTV.

The concert documentary will feature highlights from Madonna’s January 2020 performance in Lisbon, in support of her 2019 album Madame X, which had debuted atop the Billboard 200 chart.

“Sharing my vision with global audiences has been profoundly meaningful to me,” Madonna said in a statement. “The opportunity to bring its message and the incandescent artistry of all involved to an even wider audience comes at a time when music is so deeply needed to remind us of the sacred bond of our shared humanity.”

Madame X, Madonna’s 14th studio album, dropped on June 14, 2019 via Interscope Records. The album was creatively influenced by her expatriate life in Lisbon, Portugal, after relocating there in summer 2017.

Madonna co-wrote and co-produced the album with a number of musicians, including Mirwais, Mike Dean, and Jason Evigan. It also features guest appearances by Maluma, Quavo, Swae Lee, and Anitta.
