Green Day performed an amped-up cover of the KISS classic “Rock and Roll All Nite” on the opening night of their Hella Mega Tour.
The band first rocked out to the anthem at a warmup show in Tulsa, Oklahoma, before later bringing it to the Globe Life Field concert in Arlington, Texas, on Saturday (July 24).
KISS bandmembers Paul Stanely and Gene Simmons both took to Twitter to share a snippet of the cover, with the latter getting the venue wrong in his tweet.
“In Houston yesterday! Thank you, Gentlemen,” shared Simmons, while Stanley called the cover as “Another reason to love @GreenDay” in his tweet.
Having kicked off on Saturday, July 24, the Hella Mega Tour is slated to wind its way around the world through July 2, 2022, and also features Fall Out Boy and Weezer.
