Graham Nash has joined his Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young bandmate Neil Young by announcing the removal of his songs from Spotify.
Nash in a statement said that he “completely agrees” with Young after “having heard the COVID disinformation spread by Joe Rogan on Spotify.” Nash added, “I am requesting that my solo recordings be removed from the service.”
Spotify’s popular podcaster Joe Rogan had created a controversy last week after he conveyed false information about Covid-19 vaccines.
In an episode of “The Joe Rogan Experience,” guest Dr. Robert Malone claimed mask-wearing had induced something called “mass formation psychosis” in American society just as during the rise of Nazi Germany, and that people were “hypnotized” into believing facts about COVID-19.
India Arie also pulled out her songs from the music streaming service.
“Neil Young opened a door that I must walk through,” Arie wrote on Instagram. “I believe in freedom of speech. However, I find Joe Rogan problematic for reasons other than his Covid interviews. For me, it’s also his language around race.”
