Eurythmics‘ 1983 hit “Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)” features in the latest trailer for Lady Gaga‘s upcoming movie House Of Gucci.
“Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)” was the title track from British new wave music duo Eurythmics’ album of the same name. The song became their breakthrough hit, establishing the duo worldwide. The song peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.
House of Gucci is an upcoming biographical crime drama film directed by Ridley Scott, based on the 2001 book “The House of Gucci: A Sensational Story of Murder, Madness, Glamour, and Greed” by Sara Gay Forden.
The film stars Lady Gaga, Adam Driver, Jared Leto, Jeremy Irons, Salma Hayek, and Al Pacino.
It is scheduled to be released in the United States on November 24, 2021, by United Artists Releasing.
The film, which is set in Italy, depicts the events and aftermath of the 1995 murder of Maurizio Gucci, Italian businessman and head of the fashion house Gucci, by his ex-wife Patrizia Reggiani, portrayed by Lady Gaga.
“I don’t consider myself a particularly ethical person, but I’m fair,” Gaga’s Reggiani says in the beginning of the trailer, before “Sweet Dreams (Are Made of These)” plays in the background.
The trailer shows Reggiani’s first meeting with the Gucci family and her marriage to Maurizio Gucci, played by Driver.
