Eric Clapton has made it clear that he will not perform at venues that require audiences to be vaccinated for Covid-19.
“Following the PM’s announcement on Monday the 19th of July 2021 I feel honor bound to make an announcement of my own: I wish to say that I will not perform on any stage where there is a discriminated audience present,” the iconic guitarist said exclusively to London based architect, designer, urban, film & cultural theorist and commentator Robin Monotti Graziadei.
He added, “Unless there is provision made for all people to attend, I reserve the right to cancel the show.”
Clapton’s statements comes after U.K. Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced that proof of vaccination would become an entry requirement to nightclubs and venues hosting large crowds.
