Elton John recently hosted a video call with the collaborators of his new album The Lockdown Sessions on Zoom.
Nicki Minaj, Lil Nas X, Dua Lipa, Miley Cyrus, Stevie Wonder, Stevie Nicks, Eddie Vedder, Charlie Puth, Young Thug and Brandi Carlile were among those who took part in the star-studded Zoom call.
“If there’s anything that’s going to make a difference in the world, connected with love, it’s music,” Wonder said in the call, titled “Ultimate Zoom.” “We do it from our hearts, we do it from our experiences, and we share those emotions with you, the people.”
The Lockdown Sessions, released on October 22, debuted at No. 1 on the U.K. Official Albums Chart.
The album, the 32nd studio album by the legendary English singer-songwriter, was recorded during the pandemic lockdown after Elton was forced to suspend his Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour.
The “Ultimate Zoom” call is available to watch on YouTube.
