Bob Dylan has released a new video for “License to Kill,” which appears on his recent The Bootleg Series Vol. 16 Springtime in New York 1980-1985.
The visual for the remix version of the 1983 song, which is Dylan’s commentary on imperialism and the breakdown of society, contains some previously unseen footage from the Infidels sessions featuring Dire Straits frontman Mark Knopfler, former Rolling Stones guitarist Mick Taylor, bassist Robbie Shakespeare, and drummer Sly Dunbar.
In addition to the sessions from Infidels, the five-disc set The Bootleg Series Vol. 16 Springtime in New York 1980-1985 also includes material recorded from 19181’s Shot of Love and 1985’s Empire Burlesque.
