The title of a long-awaited authorized Led Zeppelin documentary has been revealed: Becoming Led Zeppelin.
The production work of the documentary, directed by Bernard MacMahon, has been completed. However, no release date has been announced.
“Becoming Led Zeppelin is a film that no one thought could be made,” MacMahon said. “The band’s meteoric rise to stardom was swift and virtually undocumented. Through an intense search across the globe and years of restoration of the visual and audio archive found, this story is finally able to be told.”
Becoming Led Zeppelin will feature interviews with Jimmy Page, Robert Plant and John Paul Jones, the three surviving members of the English rock band.
The documentary will also include archival interviews with late drummer John Bonham, interviews with other artists, state-of-the-art audio transfers of the band’s music and never before seen photographs and video footage.
