Creedence Clearwater Revival have earned their first No. 1 on a Billboard chart after “Have You Ever Seen The Rain” topped the Rock Digital Songs Sales chart.
“Have You Ever Seen the Rain,” which was written by CCR frontman John Fogerty, was originally released in January 1970 and had reached the No. 2 slot on the charts. The track has now topped the Rock Digital Song Sales chart five decades later.
Recently, the popularity of CCR’s songs has increased after Fogerty started uploading videos on the TikTok platform.
Although CCR have scored nine top 10 hits on the Hot 100, the band never topped a Billboard chart in the career despite boasting an impressive catalog. Five of their singles had peaked at No. 2 on the all-genre chart but failed to reach the top.
Further, the band’s “Bad Moon Rising” and “Fortunate Son” also landed in the Rock Digital Song Sales at No. 9 and No. 10, respectively, on the chart.
