It’s estimated that approximately one in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer during their lifetime and it’s on the rise for men as well. But catching it early can greatly improve the outcome. For those with average risk, annual mammogram screenings should begin at age 40. But screenings for people with high risk should begin at age 30. Regardless of age, early screening and early diagnosis greatly improves survival rates.
